Ripples

A silent drop,
right center in the pond,
begins a reaction,
bothering the pond with its arrival

One swift breeze,
as she passes by,
announces her presence
as her perfume engulfs the dullness.

One swift slap,
across the pink young cheeks,
announces the distant arrival
of disrespect, and rifts

One lustful appetite,
for meat, for luxury,
announces the arrival
of Global warming and death

As we swim through our marshy lives,
battling for recognition.
battling for acceptance.
battling for fame.

We leave ripples,
enormous waves that gush ahead.
Disturbing the fabric,
of nothingness.

We leave ripples
and our decisions make or break,
Lives, visible to us.
Lives, invisible to us.

Yet, we stomp and stamp!
We put ourselves at the helm!
And do not stop once,
for some quiet, peaceful introspection.

The Lady in White

There is a quiet angel waiting in white
She watches, patiently, quietly.
A robe of pure white, she remains
Like a lotus in a sea of colours.

There is a shade of grey
It grows as we do
A simple law doesn’t exist
Ifs, buts, thens and whens do!
They take you by the scoop
And turn you upside down, face first.

There is a shade of grey.
Lingering in the background
Like your own ignored shadow
It prospers, yet stays patient
Confused - To blame, to not blame.
Thread thick pathways, tread softly
Like the cat on a wall.

There is a shade of black
Devil with horns and tail
Glowering like coal, black
looks like a condescending guard
Opens its arms wide and calls you
To fall into it, sneakingly
It doesn’t care how bad it appears
It does not matter too.
Its sanguine demeanor pulls you in.
Leaves an aftertaste that you will regret
you watch the barren tree with never flowering stems.

There is a quiet angel waiting in white
It knows what you are, what you need
What you can, what you cannot
It becomes your nagging conscience
Asking you to stop, silently pleading
Overheard, resigns with a sign, but never retires
But, It is patient, holding itself.
When all falls, it will stand tall.
A warm bed, a warm home
A tub to soothe and wash your soul
A second chance
And lets you slumber in its arms
Strokes your hair and calls in utopia

A neverland, straight, right and quiet
Thus defined, are the shades of your conscience.

What is Home?

What is Home, but an abstract sense,
Hovering like the whiff of cinnamon.

What is Home, but the ruddy anchor,
Etched in one stagnant era of time.

What is Home, but the portrait of love,
As the faces of my blood ease in to the darkness.

What is Home, but bed warmed for you
Laid out, awaiting the return of the local king,

What is Home, but memories,
Of the long lost rascal you once were.

What is Home, but the prayers and love
Bundled in the aging lips of the Queen.

As I embrace Life, Head First.
It turns and churns.
As I leave the land,
Of which I once was lord,
I reach back.
And grab the out stretched arms.

And as days wane and wax
And as ripe apples decay
As an orange crumbles in its sweetness
As dust lays down for a heavy slumber
The years grow
Feeding on life, its only fodder

For you who grabs his bags
And steps beyond the threshold,
Home is but a word
Home is but a catalyst
A bow, from whence you spring forth.
Once gone, invisible again to its quiver.

The Wind Breaker

In an olden Castle so green,
Lived and ruled, a Mighty Queen.
Royal was the word, O so preen!

Her lands reached far away.
Justice she dealt, day by day.
There naught was any spark nor fray.

Though softly a secret she kept.
And quietly her husband wept.
Every night in tremors he slept.

For was she, a wind breaker.
So? Is it a deal breaker?
Yes, indeed, a nasty smell maker.

Twas eve one day.
Crowd slowly ebbing away.
Thus happened an unexpected foray

Tired, exhausted with the days tackle,
She let off a sweet cackle,
A nasty, smelly, loud cull.

Oh around and about, they veered.
Twas the Queen, O, they feared!
Yet, shy, indifferent they appeared.

The Queen, Now aghast,
Her manners now, dripping fast,
Picked cheeky Arthur now, as her outcast.

Come now Arthur, said she, Hey!
Stop That, Right away!
Yes, Mlady, Asked he, Where did it go, which way?

Patience Man!

Patience degrades like a sugar cube,
Grain by grain.
Weary ants eat it up!

Patience stands like a skin strand;
Near the nail, ripe with pain, waiting.
Curiosity pulls it out!

Patience is a virtue.
Patience is blatant!

Patience is a skyscraper;
Several floors of perfection.
Coming down with a plane crash!

Patience is a whistle blower.
You hate him, You curse him.
Attention? You are jealous of him!

Patience is a virtue.
Patience is impatient!

Patience is a DVD player.
Who the hell needs it anyway!
Lost and found, nevertheless sound.

Patience is a daft of cream.
False layer, false wall.
Crumbles down, like Berlin wall!

Patience is a spectator’s sport.
Smile, cheer and wave,
As the better things walk!

Patience is a time bomb,
Tick Tock Tick Tock
Tick To.....Boom!!

O Wonder!

O Wonder, O Wonder,
O Joyous Wonder,
How come your eyes slip into my memory;
Like dew drops from a leaf
How come your beats sync with mine,
Like the chirp of every bird with the flowing air.

Stop in your tracks, you make me smile,
Run along, you make me aspire
Never does a moment tire, never does a fun wither
As you chide the darkness of life with a sly tap

O Wonder, O Wonder,
O Joyous Wonder,
How come your eyes run far and wide
Like a kid caught stealing toffee.
How come your tip toe slaps mischief,
Like the patting of ones sweet pet.

The years chew your innocence
Like detergent over oil and color
Bit by bit, wash by wash
And somehow, it loses aging.

O Wonder, O Wonder,
O Joyous Wonder,
Is it because we share blood
Is it because we share homes

Or is it simply because you make us relive!
Relive those cheeky years gone yonder.

War and Peace

A reddish orange glow skimmed over the surface,
A tinge of green between interspaced.
Smooth frothy waves flew off the surface like a disturbed jelly.
It was signs of an evening sea.

A shade of darkness followed the setting sun.
And subduing to its heaviness, the
sun took its daily dip in the sea.

The sailor watched life going about in circles.
End of a phase, start of another.
The winged fliers, of colors many
That frequent the huge canvas above
Hadn't visited the spectating sailor today
He wondered where they went

The sea in front was at peace.
The lights behind him were loud.
Killing all peace of the art before him.

The Great Warship steered through the silent night.
Awaiting an impending war.
A lot of activity on deck,
white clothed, star marked sailors ran
around, carrying a sense of excitement.

The usual star blanketed sky
Was stabbed by colors of green, red and blue
And of smoke screens toxic.
The sea looked calm and pale,
Silently praying that the war
on its womb would pass,
with not much death of its
Scaled and finned inhabitants.

There was soft and distant muffling of sounds
beneath the green carpet muffled by
the loud bombs behind the sailor.
He reckoned it was the fishes
now weeping. Yearning the loss
Of their loved ones.
And then he realised!
How the sea was always
salty and teary.

Sky, Sea or Land!
A warzone choose.
Man loves himself so much,
that all these bounties are
worth less than his pride.
`Quicker than a wink of an eye,
can he give away all these.
Live now and regret later.
Alas, the pain is passed on, not experienced!

Fit and Fury, Slash and Swipe

The rain thundered by the eerie night,
Hooting catcalls from dreary depths responded,
It was hell’s despair, bouts of Hades spread,
It was night, it had to pass, Sun was much awaited.

She stood, dripping, pale and horror stricken,
With years of wedlock’s welter etched on her wrinkles,
Her skin was old, sapped but her eyes still marked,
With glow, a life struggling to push out from confined reichs.

Mom she was, wife too.
Which one first, she couldn’t tell!!
Today completed the answer long lost women have,
Love, always took an upper hand..

The kid went on, gurgling, pulling at the teether,
Ignorant of the massiveness of the incident before,
Despair and disorder bordered out.
Smiling helooked at his mother.

Orphaned at this small age,
He keeps smiling, innocently, glowingly.
Prospect of his future stolen,
With a slash and a swipe in fury

And thereby beside both, lay the third,
An overgrown man, a fat tall man,
With the stench of alcohol, stale,
But, alas, such a huge man, such a short life.

You know, fate is the right word!
Unknown, yet thrilling and fun!
Would you have know, that he,
This great man would be murdered now?

They loved each other, girl and guy,
The drinking problem, she overlooked
I am there, he’ll get over she thought,
But sadly, it had but to grow.

She trudged on ignoring him,
She had a baby soon, loved it
Watched it grow up to be not like dad,
And she held him closest to her sole bosom.

One night, rainy one again,
Fit and fury, the man wore,
Causing from an excess dose of wine,
He came home, with bloodred eyes

Thrashing away this, thrashing away that
He took it all at her, as he usually did,
And a slip of finger, slip of fate,
Crossed to touch the poor kid

With a cut there, at the vulnerable places,
The kid bled, the kid cried
Mom was alone and helpless,
Bleeding kid, maddening dad.

She did try, I should say,
But in vain also I must add,
The kid’s soul passed out!
Safe from dad forever.

When he regained, he learnt,
Madly sorry he was, crazy he became
And she left, for several years,
He was alone and missed her, badly..

He fought for her all while,
And slowly did get her back,
Pacify, mollify, soothe,
And they had their second child.

Now you see, man’s a pig,
Never changes and never learns,
For all the good things he needs,
For all of which he isn’t thankful.

Cause, one another night, the one now,
He got drunk again, hugely,
Fit and fury, episode repeated,
And this time, there was the second kid

Who he grabbed, in drunken rage,
And tortured, mom audiencing,
She could take it no more,
She grabbed the kitchen sword!

And in her fit and fury,
And in an undrunken rage,
A motherly fear rage that is,
A slash and swipe, here there!

The big fat man fell, story over.
She was a murderer, story over.
The kid’s an orphan, story over.
You shed one drop of tear, story over.

Dawn

Lives lit up at the dawn of an hour,
Roses bleed darker red,
Lotuses glow paler green,
In that utmost deadly live state
A New City Arises!

The bright explode was quick, incredible,
The thick smog that followed was slow, dull.
And in a hazed moment, a missed eyeblink,
One sees it all.
A New City Arises!

Ashes of hope and disgust.
Mixed in a huge belly of human pawns,
A dirt that was to be killed, survived!
Death smiled and was happy.
A New City Arises!

Emotions mixed and many, circle the air.
Scattered human sacrifice like butchered meat.
Sans Knives, Sans Fairness, Sans Justice.
The embryo of one throbbing thing : Fear
A New City Arises!

Yet, who are those deadly pale ?
Smirking with the power unseen
Roots wedged beneath the palms of man
The powerful nameless Mafia.
A New City Arises!

The wittingly alert and new,
Freshman for an Oldman's game,
The un diabetic, un-hypertensic safe blood.
The Call for a new page.
A New City Arises!

A New City arises!
A City that cannot ever sleep?
A City that cannot ever trust?
A City that cannot ever smile?
A City that cannot ever grow?

Nay, A New City arises!
A City of citadel and fortress knights!
A City of young unwrinkled fresh tissue!
A City of hope, power and strength!
A City of life!

Dedicated to the youth and their cause in social interests. Jai Hind.

Inscriptions

Light dosed Prayer half hearted,
‘ere thine shining presence O Lord!

The body lies before him gaping,
A little of its strength decaying away slowly;
Soft spoken words, hard hitten ones,
All flash by the disturbed mind;
Silent tears of injustice quietly fray upon
The lazy blackened eyes.

Large huge pin pricks all over,
Sky’s constellation etched upon the arm
Washing lead with wine and brandy
Swaying on his spot, next to her
‘The Accident’ not much to talk about!
Ended the race for her, but his?
Not his, he had just a huge wall,
He failed to see it so, climb it so;
He looked felt happier on this side.

Drug high, porn high, craze driven bastard!
He turned to, from redundant anger and pain.
One love, he stuck to, one love HE took away
Slipping poison into his dying death.
He looked at her, kept slapping, pinching
Wake up now, right now, he kept crying.
The girl blinked a little, breathed a little,
But more, there was none.
One slight life now, nothing then,
He dint give up, never did!

“Time’s up”, the doc said, “Shift him!”
And they took him and his sandbag away!
He never responded to any treatment.
Couldn’t! “But he should have”, the doc says
“Its been a year since she died, too long isn’t it??”

Happy Birthday!

Dreadful Dry throatless Wind,
Shivering through the window sill;

Gazing beyond the misplaced canvas,
edging on vision behind;

Only hope, seeing you, way beyond
all the living carcasses betwixt;

Neat fold of love kicking forth
thought and feel to Sense ;

Adding on a touch of Joy,
A touch of HappyNess;

the DAY nears by day,
Birth to one of the million chance;

Backdoor shows a lot,
huge epiphanies intertwined;

Chance we Met, chance we Set,
and all the slow events pass;

And the days grow harsher,
and stronger. Can you face it?

Who spite who?
who spite how?

All the bonding to dust,
But, No! Not the end;

Dust was gathered,
Dust for a new seed;

Because dust is not just Dust,
It has life too, breathing;

New seed of Life and Friendship,
New seed of Joy;

A layer of love and goodness
above many so, above many so;

Intricate deep the fold between,
same, a lil similar the minds apart;

Beer and Holder we say,
Stuck together, niceties among;

Fun friends they say,
Long deep ones they actually are!!

Happy Birthday!

Slain

At last the mysteries unfold,
Clarity shows, cheat untold.
Dilemma, I laugh or do I frown?
Splendid nonsense was the only gown.
Shame, Insult, it was to memory!
Stupidity, something that was scarcely savory.
Rested my head on my palm,
Bearing grief, awaiting calm.
How do I face those who helped me out?
Saved my insides falling into a bout,
Yet the truth has to be spread,
The news of someone alive, not dead.
Lie, blasphemy they had committed,
Advantage of the events, they knitted!

We had trouble, Her and me,
She dint want me, so we did parley!
It was sorted out, I was out!
She turned too, decent, no shout.
I would have cried away the loss,
But then there was this call, started with a pause,
She's been hit they said, an accident!
So loved her, can’t bare a dent.
It pulled me back to her, to comfort her,
You see, I truly loved her!
No! They stopped me, prohibited,
I wasn't let to see her, prevented!
I kept to calling, asking about,
Pulling up dear ones, heavy emotions to spout!
I cried, hoped, prayed for her health,
But they said, she was dying, such stealth!
Then the CALL, I'm sorry, she’s no more!
My insides burned, tore!
Tears of blood rolled,
Why me? I looked up and roared,
She is no more, no more!
I can still smell the dress she always wore,
AAh! She had asked me to stay away,
But she left me now, gave way!
She's no more, no more!
It stabs my heart, my core.
Essayed to join her, but gave up!
My loved ones here, made me screw it up!

It took a month, for me to get down,
To accept what has happened, chuck frown!
I was fine now, kept behind the past,
Found peace in my life, found a supporting mast!
Dream about her quite often,
Sweet people around helped me soften,
But wait, something else happened,
Something else that had me weakened,
SHE WAS ALIVE!
All through the while, she did thrive,
A tale, falsehood, a plot so perfect,
She was alive, back from the trauma's effect.
I had been cheated,
Fell into the plan plotted,
They dint want me in her life,
This which brought up the initial strife,
They knew we were together,
Wanted to poison us, from nether.
Sacrilege! Profanation! Desecration!
Love in its probation.
She was not involved, they say!
In this whole drama, shameful play.
Sweet soft soul hers is,
As heavenly as a mother's kiss!
They had hurt her, made her agree,
No room, no chance to flee!
Why did they have to kill her?
Alongside kill me? Ask me to suffer?

The poison, venom grew,
And in anger a blade I drew.
Broke through the door, with wrath!
Doing off with anyone in the path!
Simple stab, simple slain.
Ended their life, felt no pain
Looked at my love, with hatred and love,
But through the hatred, love simply stove.
She looked puzzled, scared,
The one who meant my life! And now my blade,
Bunked with her, away outside!
To freshness, we shall betide!

Dedicated to the one who needs to live!
A poetry spite at the one who failed to give.

THEM

This Poem is written in a way i devised on my own. Simply, the number of lines in each stanza is twice the number of words per line..
TWINZA, i coined this style as TWINZA;

THEM

Twice i cried,
when i exited,
when i fell.
People came, answered;
Mom first led,
They then traced.

Mom showed,
this life;
They showed,
what life.

Mom love;
They death.
I saw;
I felt.

Mom blood;
them nothing.
How come,
did they?

Tears fall;
stopped midway-
they stopped,
more fell..

Why them?
Why me?
Why so?
Why so?

This bliss,
splendid life;
Live now;
Die never..

No words;
No language;
Cannot repay,
Stolen love.

Chuck life,
now ME;
they found;
they told.

I refused;
they pushed,
I stood:
they pushed,

I pondered;
I wondered;
it struck,
REAL hard..

Going waste,
My talents,
they showed,
the channel.

I sprang,
worked, toiled,
i smiled:
they joiced!

I grew;
they knew;
them happy;
just happy.

At times,
I mistake;
I smite;
I spite;

Problems rose,
splits grew;
Dire me;
Helpful them..

Yet smiled,
taught love;
Pardon too;
they rock..

Other times,
twisted fate
confusions many,
vision cloudy.

Decisions tough,
Paths many,
lamp above,
they held.

High high,
I grew,
I loved;
simply loved..

Who is the THEM?
Not them as they!
This THEM means more..
Them who give loads,
Take back nothing, nothing!
Great hearts, Great minds!
Path ahead, Forever led.

them them? Them YOU...!

EMOEM

Darkness falls when dusk rises,
Diamond shines when coal turns older,
I was the same and thought i'll be forever,
Untill this magic kindled me with surprises.

Deep seated eyes with a circle of black,
Guarding it like a coveted prize,
That glowing face, that which made other's lies,
That sweet air of joy, sweeter than a musk filled sack.

What are you ? a lie ? a dream ?
Why am i so confunded? so lost ?
Feel alone in a desert so vast..
Talk to me, touch me.... make me gleam..

Cause when you are around, i levitate !
Within and without....
My emotions all sprout!
But to express.. to tell .. i hesitate...

Stole away my dream, my hope,
Made my heart ache so strong, so dire
Your absence kills, burns me like fire,
With the joy of pain as a sweet dope....

I ask for your hand ..
Upon mine, please take me as yours,
I'll make sure you feel no remorse,
Holding you with a strong secure band...

Will you fill in my life?, my soul?
Forever ever ever and ever?
That one'll smell even our live fragrance together,
Above our decayed burial hole ...

Written in love,
With love,
For a love,
By a love..............

DREAM ON

Dreams is the title this poem is about,
you know it, when it'll sprout.

I usually long for dreams, good or bad,
of some experience, I never had.

And maybe wont too, or it'd not be right,
seeing things that aren't yet alight,

It is an Utopian world, when its good and not bad,
and hellish when sad.

I love my dreams because they occur rare,
with me in some kind of nightmare.

You must know APJ Abdul Kalaam.
Find him, send him my salaam.

He talked about dreaming, yes! dreaming.
but he meant ideas that'd send India gleaming.

So I thought of reprinting the same message..
Dream people when you've the ability and age,

But dont just sit idle, blinking,
make stuff happen, reality, worth appreciating.

The world maybe advanced and superior,
but is very much for our reach, inferior,

Stretch your leg, throw your ideas and roar,
Become a 21st century Neil's Bohr.

Create a change, a civilisation,
But do keep in mind instrumentation.

that'd save our Earth, now crying,
asking our help. Save it from dying.

I henceforth dedicate this poem to teens,
who've ideas to show off, not fancy jeans,

Think of issues like peace too,
bettering relationship between me n you.

I thereby leave now, so ADIOS
start working for the future kiddos......

An ODE to a post rained morning.

I woke up today and was surprised,
to find my room engulfed in a sea of red.
I wondered and looked around,
trying to find an apt reason,
it was none other than the mighty sky,
making party lights early morning,
dashed i did, to the terrace,
I looked up and saw this:-

Clouds massive, with a tint of grey,
that across the blue sky lay,

the sun sly at one corner, peeking,
from all pores that the clouds above flying

had failed too cover. Upon the sky
was thus a red dye,

that encaptured my heart and its beat.
Ah ! the bliss! a feeling so sweet.

I had no words to exclaim,
the masterpiece had left me lame.

Parts where clouds left the sky to see,
was striking blue, wondered if it really could be.

It had rained all night as i slept
deaf to the sizzle cause in my dreams I was kept,

Crows I saw sitting on the wire,
with streaks of soaked standing feathers, like skin on fire.

The cloud, busying herself with a puppet show,
puttin up with all kinds of shapes man would know.

The day had to be followed by a downpour,
blowing away gloom, sorrow and feelings sour,

It was a beautiful Good Morning,
I did have on that unforgettable morning......

LIFE

My first love and passion was always RELIGION. This is a dedication to it

People lemme get this straight,
see you dont wanna believe, its your trait.

Not seeing even while seeing.
Not hearing even while hearing.

Look at the many wonders around you!
shows what's false, what's true.

But you never care, you have a curse,
the thirst to fill your flooding purse.

Rather see beyond, after the bend,
the end, that can never be to faraway send.

Oh!! What do you heed in this mighty world?
it is just pure sin that you hold.

Life is rather a journey, a farm.
till it best, gram by gram.

The fruit of your produce shall,
be far sweeter than the sweat and pall,

that you put in day after day,
and rejoiced for your arival on that DAY.

Oh dont worry, HE wont let you down,
even when you're one in an evil town.

Follow the truth, hold up the light,
you'll reach the top far beyond your sight.

Junior-Senior

This poem was the start of my poeting career, wrote this in 6th grade.
My favorite do- bossing my brother is so evident here. And so it is dedicated to him.

Hello little Junior,
I'm your Senior,
You shall give respect to me,
From now I order thee,
To serve me.
Do you see?
A big cherry tree,
Pluck a cherry for me;
Bring me the cherry,
And make some merry!!!
