Fit and Fury, Slash and Swipe

The rain thundered by the eerie night,
Hooting catcalls from dreary depths responded,
It was hell’s despair, bouts of Hades spread,
It was night, it had to pass, Sun was much awaited.

She stood, dripping, pale and horror stricken,
With years of wedlock’s welter etched on her wrinkles,
Her skin was old, sapped but her eyes still marked,
With glow, a life struggling to push out from confined reichs.

Mom she was, wife too.
Which one first, she couldn’t tell!!
Today completed the answer long lost women have,
Love, always took an upper hand..

The kid went on, gurgling, pulling at the teether,
Ignorant of the massiveness of the incident before,
Despair and disorder bordered out.
Smiling helooked at his mother.

Orphaned at this small age,
He keeps smiling, innocently, glowingly.
Prospect of his future stolen,
With a slash and a swipe in fury

And thereby beside both, lay the third,
An overgrown man, a fat tall man,
With the stench of alcohol, stale,
But, alas, such a huge man, such a short life.

You know, fate is the right word!
Unknown, yet thrilling and fun!
Would you have know, that he,
This great man would be murdered now?

They loved each other, girl and guy,
The drinking problem, she overlooked
I am there, he’ll get over she thought,
But sadly, it had but to grow.

She trudged on ignoring him,
She had a baby soon, loved it
Watched it grow up to be not like dad,
And she held him closest to her sole bosom.

One night, rainy one again,
Fit and fury, the man wore,
Causing from an excess dose of wine,
He came home, with bloodred eyes

Thrashing away this, thrashing away that
He took it all at her, as he usually did,
And a slip of finger, slip of fate,
Crossed to touch the poor kid

With a cut there, at the vulnerable places,
The kid bled, the kid cried
Mom was alone and helpless,
Bleeding kid, maddening dad.

She did try, I should say,
But in vain also I must add,
The kid’s soul passed out!
Safe from dad forever.

When he regained, he learnt,
Madly sorry he was, crazy he became
And she left, for several years,
He was alone and missed her, badly..

He fought for her all while,
And slowly did get her back,
Pacify, mollify, soothe,
And they had their second child.

Now you see, man’s a pig,
Never changes and never learns,
For all the good things he needs,
For all of which he isn’t thankful.

Cause, one another night, the one now,
He got drunk again, hugely,
Fit and fury, episode repeated,
And this time, there was the second kid

Who he grabbed, in drunken rage,
And tortured, mom audiencing,
She could take it no more,
She grabbed the kitchen sword!

And in her fit and fury,
And in an undrunken rage,
A motherly fear rage that is,
A slash and swipe, here there!

The big fat man fell, story over.
She was a murderer, story over.
The kid’s an orphan, story over.
You shed one drop of tear, story over.
